Wengarten Rights I believe this discussion could lead to my being disciplined. I therefore request that my union representative or office be present to assist me at the meeting. I further request reasonable time to consult with my union representative regarding the subject and purpose of the meeting. Please consider this a continuing request; without representation I shall not participate in the discussion. I shall not consent to any searches or tests affecting my person, property, or effects without first consulting with my union representatives. Members are strongly encouraged to consider invoking their Weingarten Rights prior to speaking to supervision (Company Representative) about an incident. Anything a Member states during a discussion, no matter how informal, may be used against them and lead to discipline. Without representation, there is no one present to document the Member's statements and provide guidance. Example: A Member is brought in to discuss an incident under the premise it is for a safety review to share ways to prevent a similar incident in the future. The Member spontaneously adds to a question he/she forgot to inspect their rubber gloves prior to use. This may result in discipline. ***Anything said during this meeting/interview may be used by the Company for disciplinary purposes if it is determined the Member violated Safety Imparatives, Work Methods, Standards, Job Aids, Etc.***
